is it a smart buy? iv noticed they range between $10,000- $12.000 why are they so low? would i be better off with a nissan altima?

sounds like a good price to me- it may be low priced because after 2010 Pontiac will be stopping production. To know whether it is a smart buy, I would get a pre-purchase exam on it- there are several used car inspection companies that offer this- and it will shoe you the condition and any hidding...

i have to chose between this two wich one is better and why ? by the way the pontiac has magnesium wheels... the chevy dosent,,,,

why those two? There is a huge array of cars in that price range that might be better then those 2. If i had to choose, it would be the SS for the power. The G5 is ugly. the G8 is perfect. Reference:.

Why won't the key turn in the ignition to my 2009 Pontiac G-5??!!?
I went to start my car this morning. I put the key in my ignition and it won't turn!! I tried turning the steering wheel back and forth and it won't budge. Help please!!

Amber, I have seen this issue before. Try wiggling the key, be very careful to not break the key, I have seen that before as well. Try to turn the steering wheel as well, if it is locked-not straight- you may have to push the brake while trying to turn the steering wheel. If this does not work...

Our 2009 Pontiac G5's racing stripes are starting to curl.?
I believe they were on the car when it was new (we bought it used). There are two wide stripes that cover the hood, roof and trunk areas. They are starting to curl - especially on the roof. Has anyone seen this on other Pontiacs?

I don't know of any that came from the factory with stripes across the hood, top, and trunk. More than likely they were added on either by a former owner or a dealer, they are vinyl and over time will peel off.

The 2009 Pontiac G5 is a near-twin of the Chevrolet Cobalt coupe, but lacks the Chevy's optional SS trim with its turbocharged four-cylinder.
The Honda Civic is the most sophisticated in this class.
Its four-cylinder engines are flexible and rev freely, the manual transmission is a pleasure to shift, and its interior quality is top notch.
The Ford Focus coupe isn’t pretty but has plenty of features, including the new SYNC entertainment controller.
The Scion tC is reasonably handsome, with a rev-happy four-cylinder engine and a much more visually satisfying interior, but it's also quite cramped.
