What is the status with Pontiac?
I have a 2001 Pontiac Aztek. This car is notorious for wierd problems. & I have a bad problem I think its defective. But now Pontiac is closing. So are there any dealers to fix problems. And will they honor fixing or paying for defects & recalls? I am afraid not but tell me what you think. Thanks I know i have no warranty, but I think the wierd...

First off GMC trucks aren't going anywhere. Anyway, it's a 2001...not exactly a new vehicle. You can check online(google) to see what TSB's and recalls there are on your Aztek...I'm sure there are plenty. If your problem isn't on the list there isn't much you can do since your vehicle is well out...

Pontiac Aztek transmission problems?
I have a 2001 pontiac aztek. Whenever I try to accelerate while the wheel is turned, the transmission disengages and revs. Then after a second or 2 it violently engages and sometimes spins the tire a bit. What could be the problem? and how serious would it be?

you're low on transmission fluid check and refill then take it to transmission shop to find the leak only way to loose transmission fluid. you are doing damage internally with the fluid being low Reference:transmission man

If there was one magic code that worked for all of them it wouldn't be much of a security feature now would it? Since you can't call a Pontiac dealer for help, try a Chevy, GMC, Buick, or Cadillac dealer.

Car stereos/Steering Wheel Controls/Pontiac Aztek?
I'm purchasing a 2001 Pontiac Aztek that has those nifty steering wheel stereo controls. If it wasn't for those, I'd be more than happy to rip the factory stereo out and put some decent system in it. BUT I want to actually use those other controls. I also want to hook my iPod up to my stereo and Bluetooth would be nice. So my question really boils...

Go to www.pac-audio.com, I bought one of their steering wheel adapters 4 years ago for an ipod compatible alpine unit. I put it in my 97 grand prix and it still works great. Most head units today are already ipod and bluetooth compatible so you should only need a steering wheel adapter. You can...
