Can I replace the dash lights in my 2008 Nissan XTerra?
I love my car, but I'm not really thrilled about the orange lighting in the dash. Is there any way I can replace the bulbs to a different color? If so, what website or where do I find the info on where to purchase the bulbs? Thanks for your help.

Yes. You must remove the instrument panel to access the lights behind it. The best thing is to go to your auto parts store and pick up a Haynes Manual for your make and model if you are intrested in doing it your self. I hope this in helpful.

Can I get Sirius Unit with the Technology package on the 2008 Nissan Xterra?
Apparently, even after the merger, it will be years before you can get Sirius channels on XM units and Vice Versa. I am buying a 2008 Nissan Xterra with the technology package. It comes standard with XM...is it possible to have the dealership swap it to a Sirius radio? Or is there a convertor type cable I can buy? Where would I buy it? Thanks!!!

Yes you can. It is especially easy now to get the dealer to do things for you since the market is so bad for them. Even if they don't have one is stock, they can order one or get one from another manufacturer. If you want they will probably buy and install one from a local stereo shop. They are...

2008 Nissan Xterra OFF ROAD Model?
I am seeing all these posts of the Xterra getting18 to 23 MPG. The Government fuel MPG tests say 16 to 20. I bought a 2008 OFF ROAD model which has transfer case, locking rear differential, hill descent control and other mileage robbers the other models dont have. I get 11 MPG on dirt road and 15 on the highway. I live in the Arizona hot desert...

Just depends how heavy your right foot is. I get complaints all the time and take the customer for a highway only economy run. Things on the roof really kills mileage driving in lower gears also kills mileage. EPA and Government gas mileage is done on a dynometer however the latest government...

Are leather seats an option on the 2008 Nissan Xterra?
I know the 2008 Nissan Xterra doesn't have an option for leather seats, but can you have them installed after market? Has anyone done that with success? Is the quality good?

Aftermarket leather seats are available for the Nissan Xterra with only one letdown... if you have the Side Airbags on the seats you can not have leather put over it. Reference:Nissan Sales Rep.

Until the Toyota FJ Cruiser arrived a couple of years ago, the Nissan Xterra was in a class itself, the only model appealing to young people who not only wanted off-road capability but an interior versatile and rugged enough for taking along equipment.

The FJ Cruiser is even more of a mountain goat off-road, but its interior is tighter and not as useful or versatile as the Xterra's.

The new Wrangler Unlimited is much larger than the model it replaces and upholds much higher standards of safety and refinement than the old one; with its very boxy, rugged styling, it's perhaps the main alternative to the 2008 Nissan Xterra.

Finally, for those who don't need rugged off-roading ability but still want a high-utility, easy-to-clean interior, the fuel-efficient Honda Element might just fit their needs.
