This is the Automatic Transferrance Continual Module- (A/T CONT) This is an electronic device that monitors drive transmission through to the wheels during accelleration and decelleration. There is probably a sensor going bad.

Hi, I have a 2002 nissan Xterra SE with 83,0000 the chk engine light came on do you know what might be wrong?
The check engine light came on in April as well I took it to the delarship they couldn't find anything wrong with it. The lights goes on and off but has been off for awhile, I'm going out of town this weekend just 2hrs aways. Just wondering if anyone knows what might be the real problem. Thanks so much

KN air filter, Synthetic motor oil, Narrow street tires, lighten the load, drive slow and smoother. Get rid of it while you can.

My car creaks when I hit bumps, any idea what this could be. I have a 2002 Nissan Xterra?
Whenever I hit a bump when driving my truck creaks a little. I am not sure what it could be. I sprayer lubricant on my spare tire that hangs underneath the truck and I also sprayed my leaf springs. I am not sure what is causing the creaking. Any ideas what this could be, it almost sound like its coming from the front end. Thank you

There are strut rod bushings, tie rod bushings (inner and outer), stabilizer bar bushings, etc. Most or All them are set in rubber to smooth out the ride.
