i own a repair shop,and id have to take the sentra, i already own an older sentra,and i love it,and the mileage is unreal on it,it gets about 38 to the gallon right now,so id have to go with the sentra,,good luck,i hope this help,s. Reference:been a certified mechanic for 36 yrs.

yeah you can put the SR20DET into the 98 Sentra my buddies 97 Sentra has a SR20DE stock. look on ebay there is usually a lot of complete SR20DET's on there with wiring and ecu's for decent prices. good luck with your swap
