depending on which model the pathfinders had a few engine choices. The 2.4 liter ka24de which is very common and relatively cheap was one of them. the v6 3.3 liter vg33e was another. now as for compatible..... the ka24de's out of the 240sx might work, not sure about the transmission but the...

I got a nissan pathfinder 97. I am about to get some rims. But unsure if they will fit. I have tried searching but i cant find the information. The rims are 22s. And its a 6 lug by 135. Will these fit? Please help me. Thank you.

2004 pathfinder automatic trans problems, 5 speed @3.5L Sport edition?
This first started by gears wont shift with out at least hitting 3.5 or 4k rpm.It seemed unusual but then hey, maybe it was the gas.I always put 93octane and put the best fluids in the truck. all those mods that you listed won't affect the tranny. most likely you are going to need a new tranny because what it sound like is that the clutches inside the transmission are burned and slipping. with transmission flush if they over filled it, it will create aeration inside the tranny and mess...

I don't know about pathfinders in general, but i know that nissans are great vehicles. i drive am x-terra a lot of the time and it never has given me a problem at all. i highly recommend any nissan.

First of all, if you plan to haul people and don't anticipate towing much or regularly off-roading, you should look into more carlike choices like the Ford Edge, Honda Pilot, Chevrolet Traverse, or Nissan's own Murano.
The Pathfinder's design is already several years old, but it feels thoroughly modern next to the Chevrolet TrailBlazer, which mates dated styling with a cramped interior and subpar performance and will soon be discontinued.
The Toyota 4Runner is another possibility, with plenty of off-road ability, though it has a noisier interior and a harder ride and can get quite expensive at the top of the line.
The Ford Explorer has a nicely updated, comfortable interior with more standard safety features across the line, but it doesn't possess the sturdy off-road ability of the 2009 Nissan Pathfinder.
An alternative might be the Dodge Durango, which offers a slightly larger package overall, though it doesn't handle the road especially well.
Each of these vehicles has poor fuel economy and a less-than-ideal ride, and most shoppers would be better suited with a modern crossover design from these automakers.
