A stock GS-T should go 0-60 (mph) in about 6.3 to 6.6 seconds, a stock 2008 3.5 Altima coupe will go 0-60 in about 7 sec, the sedan would take longer. So, yes, the Eclipse should be able to take the Altima.

That is because they did more tests in 2008. The 2007 and 2008 Altima are exactly the same.
