Mitsubishi Galant Starter, car part layouts?
i just took out the starter in my 1989 Mitsubishi galant and I loosened a nut on the back. I lost the nut but have the pressure washer. I am not sure if the nut belonged to the starter or if I took it out from somewhere else. Is there a place where i can get the layout of a starter, (nuts intact). Or something to help me determine it? thanks

My 96 mitsubishi galant's "check engine" indicator lights up when I turn on my ignition key. Is this normal?
I'm a noob with automatic cars. Whenever I turn my mitsubishi galant's ignition to "on" the "check engine" indicator lights up. I couldn't start the engine normally when this light is on. I always need to wait for the indicator light to go off before I could start the engine normally. Is this normal? It pisses me off whenever I'm in a hurry. But...

The light is supposed to come on for that length of time, it's a bulb check. If it didn't come on you would have ECU problems. If the car is having problems starting you have other things causing it. Take the car to a Mitsubishi dealer and tell them it's hard starting, let them know if the motor is...

I have a 99 Mitsubishi Galant ES... for some reason when the car gets warm it cuts off, it will crank right back up but runs a minute then cuts off again. have you changed the ignition coil? Sounds like the classic description of a coil that is overheating. you need to confirm that you are losing spark. when it cuts out and won't restart check for spark. also, check the coil for temperature--if its hot it will most likely be your cause. hope that...
