There is a good reason why the American car industry is in the shape its in. I wish I could say otherwise. I am a GM guy but I wouldn't buy one now. Fords are okay right now though if you like the Galant you might also want to check out the HYUNDAI Sonata, Ford Fusion, Ford Taurus, Toyota Corella...

Why my 2009 mitsubishi galant (standard) make noise?
I have recently bought a used 2009 mitsubishi galant (standard) with 46,000 mileage, and when I go backward slowly it makes sound a little bit like whistling but with different tone. Do you know what is it? thanks.

I bought my galant new at the dealership. I used to have a 2008 lancer, but unfortunately got totaled so i got the galant. Now i wish i would have just gotten another lancer.

Why should I also consider these? X

The Chevrolet Malibu has made the most dramatic transformation, from rental-car fodder to beautifully styled, taut-handling family sedan, with a strong V-6 backed by a four-cylinder and a hybrid version, too.

The Honda Accord was just redesigned with dramatic new styling and a fantastic new cabin for the 2008 model year.

The Nissan Altima is the closest competitor to the 2009 Mitsubishi Galant; it comes in four- and six-cylinder versions, with aggressive styling and great front-drive handling, but the Altima has more cohesive styling and a sportier feel overall.
