What makes your car engine knock? 1998 Mitsubishi Galant with 97,000 miles?
I have had fuel injector service done and all maintenance and it drives me crazy. It's been doing it for awhile. It accelerates fine and drives good but burns oil like crazy. Any Help or advice I would appreciate... Thanks No smoke is showing...I cannot afford another car so i am trying to make this one last. Thanks for all the advice and input

Failing bearings, which also explains the oil burning. A quite expensive repair, but not done will leave you stranded, perhaps with a rod through the block at some point. Is it worth a new engine in a 10 year old vehicle? Your choice...but I'd start looking at a replacement vehicle.

If you're Galant has an inline 4 engine, 87 octane would suffice. If it comes with a V6 engine, you know premium fuel is recommended. Octane rating of 91-93. But the word is "recommended." It's not a must, but to get the maximum output of the V6, higher octane is necessary.

just take it to the dealer they are probably the only ones who can do it I work at a hyundai dealership and we do it for free all the time it's really easy to do and quick also check the battery it might be dead Reference:hyundai certified mechanic

auto or manual? if auto check it with engine running n playing gear from low gear to high n reverse, and then place it to N, check for stick between hot n cool(when engine hot).
