does anyone know anything about this? its sold for around $200 at the dealership, and another $200 to hook it up. could i do it myself, if so where could i get some directions? i really don't want the FM transmitter anymore...

2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor: unleaded/premium gas ?
It calls for premium gas, but with the cost of gas it's getting rather hard. When i bought the car 3 months ago i asked the dealer if it HAD to be premium, he said no. now there's a knocking in my engine. Again, i took it in and they said they "recommend" but not force the use of premium. they told me to buy a fuel injector cleaner and let it run...

The manufacturer recommends premium fuel to get the most out of the V6 engine. Using the the lesser grade won't hurt. Try using the fuel injector as said by the dealership and see if the engine improves. Two of my family members stopped using premium fuel in their cars and their cars run fine.

With the economy sinking fast...and high price of Mercedes maintenance and parts: I an opinion from anyone on if I should sell the 2005 Mercedes E320 CDI, which is a diesel and muy a 2008 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor. The2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor is going for about $10k below sticker price, but the offer for the '05 Mercedes is only about $22k. Anyone...

I agree with above, going from a Benz to a Mitsu will be a big downgrade. Besides, now you're enjoying the economy of a diesel. You'll be spending a lot more at the pumps if you jump into a SUV.

Big, ugly, gas guzzling SUV that should be taken off the road. Mitsubishi as a manufacturer is excellent. But that doesn't save the Endeavor.

The mid-size SUV market is so rich with choice that there are easily two dozen vehicles you could compare to the 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor.
The Chevrolet Equinox and the Suzuki XL7 share many components, and both are value priced.
Based on recent experiences with the Equinox, we'd only recommend it with the new 3.6-liter engine, and even then, we don't endorse it strongly.
However, the bigger XL7 represents a very good value in a package that's about the same size as the Outlander.
