My dad just bought a used 2008 Mercury Mountaineer. The car was as is and now we don't know the keypad number. How do we find it without having to pay for someone to find it? Any other ways with out taking it to the dealer or dealing with airbags. I dont feel safe removing the airbag. John F there are 4 door panels can you be more specific

Anyone know all the corks with a mercury mountaineer 2001-2008?
I've been looking at them and I really like it. Was interested in the ford expeditions but a friend of mine said the thransmissions were crap. Just want to buy a nice SUV with third row seating at a decent price, but still reliable. Thanks sorry, I guess I meant quirks thanks

I think you mean "quirks" not corks. BTW, the tranny's in these cars are excellent. Buy a copy of the Consumer Reports Auto issue and you will see that they have virtually no transmission problems. Your friend might be a nice person but they are giving you a bum steer on this one.
