I bought a 1999 Mazda 626 4cyl 5spd this week. I haven't changed the oil yet, but I want to fairly soon. I was reading through the owner's manual when I noticed that it said a special tool was required to change the oil filter, therefore you must take it to a Mazda dealership to have the oil changed. I am curios what tool this is. I have a feeling...

That tool is a cap style oil filter wrench. It is not really needed but it does make things a little easier.

What to look out for in a 1999 Mazda 626 ES Sedan?
I'm buying a used car, and have chosen a 1999 Mazda 626 ES Sedan. The VIN # report checks out, and I'm wondering what defects I should be looking for. It currently has 130,000 miles on it and a clean history. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If it's the V6, you're fine. The 4 cylinder has frequent automatic transmission problems because it is made by Ford. The V6 has a Mazda transmission, so it may occasionally jerk, but it won't go out. Great car! We have one but the water pump went bad but we didn't realize...

you have to see what kind of smoke coming out your car, if it black is oil, and if is like grey is gasoline so.... after the night the oil or the injector is leaking any of both fluids to the piston then when you start the car at the morning until the piston gets cleans will smoke a simple eye...
