The overdrive button won't engage on my 1997 Lincoln Town Car. What could the problem be?
My transmission shifts all other gears fine. I have a flashing indicator that says"OD Off" and the button that engages it won't work. What could it be?

The speed sensor might be going bad or the overdrive solenoids. The blinking light means a fault code is detected with your trans. It needs a code reader to tell you what is the error/fault. The dealer can tell you (UGH!) or a reputable transmission shop, be careful to find out which code it is...

97 Lincoln Townecar wont start?
I have a brand new battery and starter on my 97 lincoln and the engine still won't start up, it sounds as though the engine is being held back .its turning 1/4 the speed of normal start-up. It also doesn't hold power once I try and turn it over, ( drains very quick an then I have to charge it ) this has been going on for about 3weeks to a month...

Fords are famous for corroding the positive battery cable clamp, which could be your problem. Pop the clamp off the battery & clean the inside of the clamp & the sides of the battery post. If that helps, get a battery clamp cleaning tool at your local car parts store, have them show you how...
