It's supposed to represent a diamond. It first turns up on 1952-model Lincolns, signifying 30 years (diamond anniversary) of the marque's acquisition by Ford Motor Co. in 1922. The first Lincoln was built in 1917. Early Lincolns used a greyhound as a mascot.

Yes, Lincoln is going to be WAY more expensive to maintain. It will have more problems than Acura (Lincoln doesn't compete with Honda) considering it's reliability ratings. Also, it will use more gas than an Acura would. Acura's tend to be VERY good on gas. In the end when you turn around and sell...

Hate to break it to you, but BMW owns Lincoln. I'm a member of the BMW CCA and we go on drives. There was a 128i in front of me and I was pushing my car to keep up with it on a windy road. They are in a sense little rockets. Also, as cliche as it is, depends on the driver. Also the 128 is A LOT...
