With its tremendously torquey engine, good highway stability, and tow rating of up to 8,500 pounds, the LX remains one of the top choices for towing. For those who can't stomach the LX 570's gas-guzzling ways, there's the diesel Mercedes-Benz GL320 CDI, which gets an impressive (for the class) 18 mpg city, 24 mpg highway.
