DO NOT DO IT!!! All it does is ping and knock like nothing else. Even if you go up the slightest hill, the engine will knock the whole time and there is little power. Pay the extra $5 and be on the safe side. For some reason that engine can't handle it, despite knock sensors and Variable valve...

Headlight bulb on 2000 es300?
Is replacement of the hi/low bulb in a 2000 es300 relatively easy? Does it require any special tools, etc? I have one burned out and the good 'ole Auto Zone has the bulbs for about $15.00..but is it something I can do? (The car is at home and I would pick up the bulb on my way home...I don't have the car here to take a look under the hood and see...

Shouldn't be that difficult. Depending on which side you may need to remove the battery to fit your hand behind the assembly to replace it. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes or so to replace. Reference:10+ Years ASE Certified, Lexus Master Certified Technician

I don't think that year of ES has a beeper. If it does, I don't think you can turn it on or off. If it's not working, it's probably cause the beeper speaker is broke. I like the beeper too. That's one of my favorite parts about getting into a Lexus.

In the Chicago area the car you described (in excellent condition) retails for $10, 875. The same car in NW Ohio retails for the same price. In California, $11,875. CURRENT retail with an additional 12500 miles drops to $10.525 in the midwest. Next year? Any ones guess but probably about $9000...
