First of all Kia has a bad reputation they tend to break very easy thats why they offer a 10 year warranty when you buy new, now Chevy has better qualities strong pick up, but if you need an suv try to look into more brands, Blazer maybe, or a jeep cherokee.

Kia Sportage 2000 or Hyundai Sonata 2000?
Hi Im planning to buy a used but dependable and reliable car or suv. So which should I choose Kia Sportage 2000 or Hyundai Sonata 2000? I heard about the bad things of Sportage and the older Hyundai's had a transmission issue so Im totally confused about my choices. I would like to have all your opinions, good and bad about those vehicles. Thanks

All Korean cars older than 2005 are absolute garbage. Look for something like a Ford Escape, Nissan Xterra, or a Jeep Liberty. Korean cars are cheap for a reason...
