You are correct! It is a Dodge with a Jeep badge. Currently there are only 3 cars that can be considered to be a real jeep. Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, and Liberty. Anything else is a Dodge with a Jeep badge.

Considering a 2010 Jeep Patriot. Where's the 4-wheel drive lever/buttons in the console?
Where is it located/how does it work? I have a 2000 Cherokee Sport...is the lever similar? If you have a picture of it, I'd love to see it (link?)! Cheers!

It is not like the cherokee. The "lever" is on the center near the cup holders if it is 4x4. It's switch and the computer decides when you should actually get 4 wheel drive.
