No, you should just check the pressure on the tire. it's likely the spare pressure is low too. it has nothing to do with Tread depth. The light also won't hurt your computer, but oddly if it never turns off you may have to have the dealer reset it for you with a scan tool. You should look first in...

i work for a car company , you will have to pay more money just for a spare key , what i did was i went to a store and got a spare key for 99 cents depending where you live im sure you can find something.
