Does anyone like the new Jeep Compass?
Source: Yahoo! Answers, 12 answers

Yes. It isn't off road like a wrangler or land rover, but for what it is it is good. It is cheaper than competitors, and has almost as much space. One downside is CVT, the acceleration times are horrible, but it does up the fuel economy by a fair bit. They're hoping with gas prices people will want...

Is a Jeep Compass only for soccer moms?
I want to get one, instead of a Liberty or Patriot because those are bad on gas and too expensive for me. I am a 22 year old woman. My sister said its "Mom"ish. Maybe because my Mom owns one. But does it look like the ride a 22 year old would have? I want an SUV because I want this car for a long time so my fiance and I can have it when we have...

If that is what you want, who cares what your sister thinks. Is she buying it for you.....no. It is your vehicle, your money and your choice. It sounds like you already made up your mind. Get it Reference:20 year mechanic

Will a Jeep Compass 4x4 survive an Alaskan winter in Fairbanks Alaska?
Considering buying a Jeep Compass, I currently have a Dodge Neon ACR. The compass seems to be the best 4x4 around for my price range 18k - 21k... but with winters with an average -15 F I am wondering if I will have to get the car outfitted with some sort of winterized package or something? I am currently in Las Vegas, and I move in 3 months...

The Nissan Rogue might be the closest rival to the the 2010 Jeep Compass; it also utilizes a four-cylinder engine and a CVT for its powertrain.

Even though Nissan uses the same CVT, it works better in the Rogue, while the Rogue's interior appointments don't feel nearly as cheap.

It's also easy to identify the popular Ford Escape as a reasonable competitor to the Jeep Compass.

If you have the opportunity to drive a 2010 Escape, you'll enjoy a much more substantial vehicle that offers V-6 and gas/electric hybrid power in addition to a four-cylinder with a six-speed automatic.

The Hyundai Tucson doesn't win friends with its styling, but it is a good package overall, and a V-6 is available.

The Toyota RAV4 also offers a V-6 and is a very spacious, agreeable vehicle, but most versions have the spare tire mounted in back like an old-style SUV.

The Honda CR-V reigns as the segment leader here for those who don't plan to go off-road; its interior is well appointed and nearly as spacious as a minivan.
