Im thinking about converting my 2008 jeep commander into a veggie car?

It won't work unless it's a diesel - which isn't clear in your question. Then the access to available veg oils on a regular basis will become the issue, after that, getting good quality ones you don't have to spend more money on to filter and clean up before using. How do I engage the 4-wheel drive on a 2008 Jeep Commander?
A friend is driving a rental. He has no owners manual. We're trying to figure out how to engage the 4WD. When he pulls the lever, an alert flashes "see your owners manual." Any ideas? Also - do the lights come on automatically? Its going to get dark soon and he can't find the light switch. Thanks!
