I Have a 2001 Jeep XJ with a 3" lift, Can i put 1.5" spacers in and keep the same shocks?
I Have a 2001 Jeep XJ with a 3" lift, Can i put 1.5" spacers in and keep the same shocks? I am in the process of buying new lower control arms because i need them any way. I was looking at some 1.5" coil spring spacers and some 1.5" leaf spring blocks, I know it will be close on the shocks but I would like to get some more lift with minimal...

Would I be able to put a tachometer on my 1989 Jeep Cherokee XJ?
My speedometer has a giant gas gauge and and speedometer. If I just go to a junkyard and grab a speedometer with a Tach in it, is there any thing i will need to do to get the tach to work? Or would it be easier to just put a separate gauge in? It is annoying shifting without it.

Reasons for having heavy steering is belt to pump broken, lack of power steering fluid - usually makes a loud noise when turning. Low tire...

Jeep transfer case noise?
1995 xj, 4.0 high output, 4x4... in 2wd mode the car runs perfect! as soon as i pop it into 4x4 (high or low) you cant go faster than 2 mph without hearing a horrible clinking and clank sound (kinda like on a roller coster) you also hear popping noises, its sounds like its about to break. When you shift it out of 4wd into 2wd, it feels as if...

It's probably the transfer case. When you're in 2wd you're using the least amount of parts, so a lot of them aren't being driven. Hard to tell what it is just by the description, but you can figure it out pretty easily by looking inside. Here's a write-up on it...
