I have a 1997 tiburon fx it just shut off on my way home and won't start what could the problem be?
i tried to jump start it using jumper cables and a friends car the engine turns and turns but it won't fire i tested the coil and it is getting spark please help as i am clueless i just had the tranny replaced new clutch and everything

Sounds like it's not getting gas. You should hear a 2-3 second hum from the rear of the car when you turn the key to the 'on' position. Don't try to start it-just turn the key and have someone listen for it. If you hear nothing, have your mechanic test the fuel pump. It is possible it has failed...

Probably about 200,000 miles if it's had proper maintenance and not run hard all the time or just used for short trips. Transmission is likely to go out before the engine.

The gas filter should be removed and examined,guess on some water and dirt. It is most probable as no dash lights came on.
