30000 mile service needed for a 2007 sonata?
I have a 2007 hyundai sonata. The dealer is telling me that I need to do 30000 mile service and will cost me $400.00. Does the manufacturer recommend this?

Are you planning to keep your car for another 10 years? I own a 2007 Sonata SE with 25500 miles. I did escape the 15000 but will do the 30000. Your dealer is bit exaggerating, mine offer it for 295. Open a Sonata hood manually?
I left the door of my 2004 Hyundai Sonata slightly ajar, and now the battery is dead. However, when I pulled the hood latch underneath the driver's steering wheel, it wouldn't open. I can pull it as far as it goes, and nothing happens. I also tried using a cigarette lighter jumper, but that failed. Is there a way to manually open the hood?

you need a friend/get somebody to hold the inside release and give the hood a little two handed bang at the end and it should loosen and release Reference:mech

The true competition for the 2009 Hyundai Sonata is the large four-door sedan with less emphasis on road manners and more emphasis on comfort.

The Toyota Camry and Honda Accord have long dominated this niche, though the Camry’s reliability has slipped by some reports and the Accord’s styling has ventured off on a slightly odd tangent.

The Nissan Altima’s an exceptional large sedan, with quick steering and slick styling, but a less useful trunk and like all but the Accord, less room overall than the Sonata.

The Chevrolet Malibu scores like the Sonata in room and style, and like the Camry and Altima, it comes in hybrid trim too (covered in separate reviews).
