What kind of engine should i put into my Jeep?

The purpose of this jeep is to be a rally/ baja runner. I really, really, want a V8, but ive heard that they are not worth the trouble. The GM 4.3 liter v-6 is the best engine. Way better than the I-6. Go to www.advanceadapters for a kit to match it to your transmission. You can get the 4.3 easily as a crate engine or a junkyard engine.

92 lexus sc300 wont accelerate properly?

ok 5spd sc300 doesn't have all the power it should at 3000rpm you really notice bog down and shake pretty rough sometimes goes away but stays sluggish and I don't think i have ever gotten it past 4000rpm sounds almost like its hitting the rev limiter. also parked in neutral and does just fine revving it up. air filter is brand new plug wires look...

Go to local chain auto store... pep boys, auto zone, etc. Buy a mass air flow sensor for it. (maf) I know your light may not be on, but my gs300 was acting funny for a while with no light and this fixed it instantly! IF it dosnt work then you can just return it, so its worth a try!...

Well thick smoke indiactes that short go to where u saw smoke and fine the wire or wires that r burnt or melted you may have to cut open wire harness to find and then repair and look at every fuse make sure they are good and that the right fuse is being used not a highr rating than required

idle air control and idle air valve would cause surging, seems like he has a bad MAP sensor or connection, or even the idle screw needs adjusting, fuel pump could be going bad, or clogged filter. Reference:honda mechanic using fiancee's account
