Does anyone know when the new 2009 Honda Element will be out in the US?
I'm just wondering if it is coming out soon, and if it might be worth it to wait for them to come out, so that I can get a better deal on a 2008.

Go for a deal on an '08. The '09 will be essentially the same vehicle. New models are usually out by November. Reference:Former Element owner.

How many seats in a 2009 Honda Element EX and/or SC? (Total number)?
From what I can see in pictures there are 4 of them. But are there any extra seats in the back which can be pulled out or something?

4. There is an aftermarket seat that you can purchase for the back hatch, but it isn't comfortable. In addition, the max total interior payloads the Element is able to hold is 675 lbs, as mentioned in the owners manual. That, and the fact it only holds 4 people, are the only flaws in the vehicle.

Will honda redesign the element for 2009?

How many does a 2009 HONDA ELEMENT seat?
& if you have one, would do you recommend it to others?
Source: Yahoo! Answers, 2 answers

It only seats four...which is one of the reasons I replaced my Element with a Scion xB2. Also, it's only a matter of time before the clamshell doors become annoying...it depends on how often you have back seat passengers. The plastic fenders were also a pain to keep looking nice, but I had a 2003...

Why should I also consider these? X

Scion's xB is a capacious, convenient vehicle, but has recently grown bigger and heavier (some 600 pounds greater than before), diluting its nimbleness; with that extra weight, its more powerful 2.4-liter engine delivers lower fuel economy without much more impressive performance than the former 1.5-liter.

The Mazda5 is probably the Element's fiercest competitor in terms of value and convenience, though its minivan silhouette might make it a no-go for some.

Finally, Kia's upcoming Soul promises a strong dose of fresh style in the mini-crossover market, though initial driving impressions rate it as somewhat less refined than the 2009 Honda Element.

For those who love and need vans—especially small-business owners—the Ford Transit Connect arrives for the 2010 model year with a four-cylinder powertrain and a customizable rear cargo area.
