Rattle when idling on CRV?
My 2003 Honda CRV with 68000 miles on it has developed a rattle under the hood. It only does it when it's idling or stopped. It will have a rough sounding rattle, stop for a minute, do it again, etc. When the car is moving it's not audible. It really only does it when the engine fan flips on when it's idling. Check for a loose heat shield or bad catalytic converter. I'd have it checked asap because if it's the CC they're usually covered under emissions warranty for 72k miles (or something close to that). I had one go bad and I would hear a slight rattle like sand banging against the side...

should've ponied up the extra cash for all wheel drive. then you wouldn't have this issue. yes, if your traction is really that bad, you should get winter tires.

If it is the factory installed unit it will not have rca connections.

The 2009 Honda CR-V, along with most of these rivals, offer city-friendly maneuverability, a carlike ride, and reasonably good fuel efficiency.
The Toyota RAV4 provides a plusher ride, and it's the only one in this crowd with an available third-row seat.
