You can try Honda Civic EK3 with engine D15B. This cars made aound 1996-1999. Very good fuel consumption. With proper driving style, you can reach 30km per liter!. You need to talk to an attorney. But it sounds like you do not have to give them any money for the use of the loaner. What happens when Honda Civic Hybrid runs out of gas? Will it limp along on electric, shut down, or mantain full electric driving capibility? The fuel pump wouldn't be damaged as it would be shutdown during the electric mode. The pump doesn't run during electric mode in this car. A Feature of progressive engineering.

It will run until the electric motor runs out of charge. Also, while its running on electric only, it will not generate as much speed as well. Reference:Toyota Prius owner.
