I have a 2006 gmc sierra 1500 w/ 4.3 V6. need to know what each of 5 wires are for in iat sensor please.?
There is a black/white, red, yellow, tan, and a black one. I bought a resistor that hooks into two of the five wires and i need to know which one s they are.

First two are for the IAT. Next three are for the MAF pin A BK (low reference) pin B TN ( IAT sensor signal ) pin C BK/WH ( ground) pin D PK (IGN 1 voltage ) pin E YEL ( MAF sensor signal ) Reference:GM tech

What would help gas mileage in a 2006 gmc sierra 1500 4.8l?
I have a 4.8 liter V8, It is a 4 door with a short bed..i am looking for some advice on how to improve my gas mileage..some say a cold air intake or a chip? What would be the best aftermarket product to help me out? thank you

without getting too technical here, an engine is basically an air pump. make it more efficient and you can get better mileage. easier to get air in and easier to get air out. intake and exhaust. just changing those two things will yield more power and better gas mileage as long as you don't act...

Depends on which engine you have: Gasoline engine: 4.3 = 4.5 quarts (including the filter) 4.8 = 6 quarts (including the filter) 5.3 = 6 quarts (including the filter) 8.1 = 6.5 quarts (including the filter) Diesel engine: 6.6 = 10 quarts (including the filter)
