How many miles should there be before an oil change in a 1999 Ford Taurus if it is not driven much?
I drive maybe a couple miles, if that every other day and every other Saturday I drive for about 40 mins. Should it be the average 3000 miles or is it okay to wait a bit longer.

Just do it every 3,000 miles, regardless of how many months it takes to get there. 5k is ok if all 5k miles are highway miles, but you do stop and go driving and a 3k interval would be best. Reference:Auto Mechanic
