Try the wheel switch on the dash. It may have gotten turned all the way to bright dash lights, that also controls the dome light. If that fails do like the others said and take it in to the dealer.

Does the powertrain warranty on a 2008 ford fusion cover obd code P0456?

It should be located in the center glove box, just lift up the cover and it should be on the front right hand side by the power point.
