It's the best Ford had to offer in its class. It's built on a Volvo P2 platform, pretty decent ride, plenty of room and reasonably good fuel economy.

According to the owners manual, my 2007 Ford Five Hundred's Securilock has been enabled and must be taken to an authorized Ford dealership to be serviced. Sometimes if you disconnect the battery for 3 minutes and then re-connect, it will reset the system. Do not try to use the same key again because it is obviously defective and your car believes it is being stolen. Reference:amazingkeys.com

Do you think Ford should change the name of the Ford Five-Hundred into the Taurus?
The Taurus is a crappy car when the Five-hundred is a differenet body style and does not look like the old taurus'.The only reason why there changing it because people like the taurus better they'll think it's like the other 1.
