You need to talk with your local tire shop on that, but not much larger then stock because of clearance issues.

2006 Ford Expedition-Noisy?
Is it normal for an Expedition to have road noise? I drove a Chevy Astro before and it was much quieter. Is it a muffler problem or just because it's a bigger engine? Any help is appreciated.

A Chevy Astro is a mini van, and if it was not a utility van it was sound proofed somewhat. An Expedition is a SUV. While sound proofed the bigger engine and tires will be a bit louder then the van. You didn't say if it is a 4X4 or two wheel drive. Some road noise can be quieted down by putting...
