Economically? You can't. Towing capacity is a function of the engine/transmission/rear end and suspension. Without changing one or more of those parts towing cap will not change. Let me take a step back though...you could add booster springs/shocks/leafs that would "technically" increase towing...

first remove the door panel you will find the mirror opening remove 3 screws UN plug wires and there you go. Replace door panel and you are in business. Reference:36 years @ ford motor co
