Oil leak 2000 7.3 powerstroke Ford Excursion?
I have an oil leak in my excursion. I recently added a new 4" MBRP, HPX line, new turbo boots, a under hood fuel pressure gauge, and a CCV mod. The Valley used to leak a bit from the turbo boots being saturated. after replacement I cleaned it so as to make looking for leaks easier. Is 147,000 miles a lot for a texas owned 2000 Ford Excursion?
Im looking at a 2000 Ford Excursion with the 7.3 diesel in the limited package. Also what is the lifespan on engine components like the turbo.

At 147K miles the 7.3 PSD is just getting broken in. You can expect two to three times that many miles on that engine with proper maintenance. Nobody that I know of makes a purpose built turbo for that vehicle. You'd probably have to adapt a kit that was made for 5.4L V8. It probably won't be the easiest project in the world and it won't be cheap or particularly effective either. A supercharger would be more practical...
