Need help with my 02 escape rear axle?
when i put it in 4wd it sometimes clunks and feels like parts are coming off. And when i turn in 4wd the rear tires chirp and feel like they are locking up. is this normal?? I just bought the car and am getting worried, please help!!

unlike a AWD a 4wd should NEVER be driven in 4wd on dry roads....it whells will bind up and wear/break a U joint only use it on snow or dirt Reference:40 yrs of 4x4

My 2008 ford escape bounces bad when i hit bumps?
it bounces and jumps to the side..it feels really unstable on bumps..what could be wrong? it is not overloaded and has over 64000 miles on it already...just put new tires a few months ago..

Problem with my 01 Escape?
my 2001 ford escape 6 cyl 4wheel drive has been turning off when I come to a complete stop. It has been doing this for a month. I tried putting Lucas on the gas tank and though it made my driving more smooth it has not fixed the problem. Today the engine light turned on and it has not gone off. Any idea as to what may be happening?

Check the IAC with a scan tool, the data will tell if it is working properly. It can get sticky and not move fast enough causing stalling and hard starts,. If bad ,install new, do not try to clean.

If you color within the lines, only a few measure up to the same narrow definition of a compact SUV as the 2009 Ford Escape.
Many people admire the styling of the Saturn Vue.
Like the Escape, the Vue offers a hybrid option (a second hybrid choice is on the way for the Vue).
The Hyundai Tucson drives more like the pre-2009 Escapes, but does so with a low price and an especially long warranty.
In terms of driving dynamics, the Honda CR-V is one of our all-time favorites, but some people have a hard time getting past the SUV's styling and the lack of optional V-6 power.
However, the SUV that comes closest to the Escape is the Dodge Journey.
In terms of styling, the Journey has strong looks that turn heads and plenty of features inside, such as multiple cubbies and rich infotainment options.
However, the Journey's interior design isn't pleasing to the eye, and the materials feel subpar for the category—not just in comparison to the Escape.
