Whats better a 2000 or 2004 crown victoria p71 police interceptor?
I'm buying a crown victoria P71 police interceptor, I have a choice between a 2000 and a 2004 I know that there are a few differences but I don't know exactly what? Does anyone know the difference or which is better? both cars have the same milage and both are clean with $1000 difference in price.

get the 2000. driven less in the timeframe. same car same motor. been the same motor for years. only difference is minor things like grille and taillights.

you can't swap Maurader engine parts into it. (4V vs. 2V). The best mods for the money would be first put in a set of 4.10:1 gears. The car is heavy and the engine does not make alot of torque. BS cold air intakes and gimmick stuff won't do crap but cost you money. Shy of having the heads...

RIGHT NOW I HAVE ALL CATS ( 4) ON AND THEN JUST PIPE, IT SOUNDS NICE BUT I HEARD THE CHERRY BOMB GLASSPACKS ARE A GOOD CHOICE. SHOULD I GO WITH THE 18'' OR THE 8'' WHICH ONE WILL SOUND NICE? I ALREADY HAD FLOWMASTER TOOK THEM OFF TWO YRS AGO.

I want to gain more horsepower or torque and maybe gas milage and i need to know what to add,it can be simple things or difficult things since my step dad and neibhor are like mechanics...So can somone help me out? i want long answers if possible!!

Iwhat? you need to have some idea of what you want, cold air intakes those fake chips and throttle body spacers are all proven crap for the most part, And anything you do tho the engine does it still need to meet the smog requirements in your area.
