What kind of trailer? If its a travel trailer, CDL not required. But if you have a flat bed and run a backhoe on it or a car hauler or something like that, yes a CDL will be required. The max wieght with your CDL would be 26001 lbs. How do I know you ask? CHP DOT inspector.
