unless you can find a donor truck to do this with its almost impossible to do,there's to many parts to swap out and a salvage yard wont have them all,and cost wise its more than it would be to just go out and buy a truck that was already a diesel ,i did one before and will never do another one,good...

roughly ,probably about 14 -16 miles to the gallon maybe a little more but i doubt it,those got around 17-20 sometimes when stock,good luck. Reference:been a certified mechanic for 37 yrs.
