How to switch the gears?
Going up to the mountains in my Dodge Durango. I bought the suv used and unfortunately it did not come with the manual. Does anyone know how to switch the gears in the truck from 4by2 to 4by4? I don't want to get stuck in the snow, nor slide off the cliff.

Most Durangos are configured one way or the other. If you have a 4x4 Durango, it should be in 4-wheel drive all the time.

What could be wrong with the idle on my Dodge Durango?
I have a 2001 Durango. When I am driving the idle revs up by itself. When I am at a stop light with my foot on the brake (the car is not moving) my rpm's surges up and dowm as if I were tapping the accelerator. Most likely the Idle Air Control valve is bad.Maybe a vacuum leak but you can usually hear those and the check engine light would come on in a day or so. Possibly the Throttle Position Sensor(computer would think the throttle was open or more open than actual and therefore increase RPM). Lastly...

I have a 2000 RT. I love it, execpt the gas mileage. No troubles at all. Most vehicles don't give you problems until you don't take care of them properly.

How Much money would it be to fix a leaking transfer case on a Dodge Durango?
the transfer case is leaking oil every where how much you think it will be to get it fix give me a closed estimated on a 2000 Durango 5.9 with 115k,miles? I dont know if the transfer case is low on oil , it this a very hard job to fix the leaks? Oh no $900.00 dont tell me this I live pay to check low income family wow it there any way to stop this...

it don't cost that much too replace all the seals in it, the last one i did i charged around 400 and that was labor and parts,and i let the guy pay me in monthly payments on it,it doesn't cost 900 to get the seals replaced in them,you can buy one cheaper than that,regardless of if you use it or not...
