Do I need a spark arrestor in my 2008 dodge dakota 3.7?
I have a dodge dakota 2008,3.7 six cylinder engine, do I need a spark arrestor in the exhaust, or does it have it since build?

What, dude?! Its not a dirt bike, or weed eater. It has 15 feet or exh. pipe. Your chances of a spark making it that far is absolutely zero. ~Dan

I agree, just buy 4x4 v8. I wouldn't do that much work. I saw a 99 with 5.2 4x4 on Craig's list this Summer for $1500. (no it wasn't smashed) I thought about buying it but then I would have 2 great dakotas.

don't disconnect it from the fire wall disconnect it from the hoses where they hook up to the engine, their to hard to get to if you go next to the firewall and you may damage the hoses getting them off that way,but you do want to flush it both ways until clear water comes through as fast from both...

The H3T stands out in this category for its styling and the HUMMER brand’s cachet with a certain crowd, but plenty of people are likely to be scared away from that brand’s eco-unfriendly image; the H3T is considerably more expensive, too.

The two vehicles in this class with the freshest look are the H3T and the Ridgeline, which received a modest refresh for 2009.

The Colorado is on paper a competitor, but in the real world its powertrains are uncivilized and it feels in a class below the others.

The V-8 in the 2008 Dodge Dakota gives it a distinct advantage in power over the five-cylinder Chevy and GMC mid-size twins, as well as the six-cylinder Tacoma, Frontier, and Ridgeline.

However, the imports offer quality and dynamic performance advantages over the Dodge.
