Generally how much antifreeze will a 2000 Dodge Dakota take for a flush?
I'm using straight antifreeze, is that as good as using 50/50?

your better off using the 50/50 mix in that one,its better for the cooling system than tap water is and it should take a little over two gallons to fill that one with, good luck. Reference:been a certified mechanic for 38 yrs now.

It will be speed limited to 110 mph. It is a truck, not a race car, its not designed to be driven that fast.

I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota truck and it will not shift properlly untill warmed up. It is an automatic.?
Does any one know what might be wrong before I take for shop to look at. I would like to have some ideas before. The truck reeves up to 3-4000 RPM from take-off and takes a while to change into 2nd gear. Ounce warmed up it changes from first to second smooth. It is a lot worse in cold weather.

what does it do? does it flare? it is normal for it to hold shifts longer and not shift into 4th or lockup the convertor until the fluid gets warmed up. Reference:chrysler trans tech

when it was new they are supposed to have 5-w-30 in them but over the years and as the mileage adds up on it you can start using a good 10-w-30 in it,anything over 100 k use a good 10-w-30 in it and it will help the engine last longer, good luck.
