You vehicle sets this fault as a "gross leak" part of the EVAP and Purge diagnostics. Go to autozone and use their code-reader to check for diagnostic codes, and to reset faults. If you have any faults related to the EGR, EVAP or Purge systems, then those need to be fixed before the fuel...

the engines in those are notparticularly noisy, but if you are driving one with a 4.0L V6 they do come with dual exhaust therefore making them a little noisier than the 3.8L. But being a Mercedes engineered car they are actually quite quiet and comfortable.
