I have a 1998 chrysler cirrus that will not start.?
I replaced the timing belt, so I double checked the timing marks and they are dead on (checked after cranking the engine numerous times). It has spark and fuel, but it sounds like engine timing. I do not believe in coincidences, so what gives with the timing?

They are very common to have Distributor Failures. Very hard to diag. unless You have an oscilloscope to analyze the signals coming out. After you try everything and the Kitchen sink try that. It's the whole Distributor not just the cap. Even if you have spark. The cam sensor is built into it.

Should I buy a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus LXi 4D with 85k miles on it for $3500?
The car has clean history and just some rust on the edge of the hood. I have another choice. A 1997 Honda Accord LX 4D with 120k miles on it for $4500. Any suggestions?

If the Cirrus has a 4 cylinder in it, I would stay away, head gaskets leak oil all the time and the transmission are not the best, the Accords last a lot longer if it was maintained. Wait or go for the Honda.
