What would win, a low-compression 1974 Corvette with 165hp but maybe 250ftlb torque, or a 2009?
Jap car with 265hp and just 230ftlb torque? The Jap car weighs 300lb less also. 'Theneelster' I would lose? I'm not in either car, so how could I win or lose? Not interested in 'mods'. 2009 Corvette ZR-1 parts questions.. How much do they really cost?
Well i am a covette lover, and was searching the net to try and find how much parts for this car actually cost. The new zr-1 is what i am interested in but can not find many sites that will say.. Found a few things, headlight $900, New brake pads and rotors only ( not installed ) $9000... Its not an exotic, but its a supercar, so i didnt expect to...

I know that a gallon of the special paint for the carbon fiber is like 5 grand. I would not be surprised if those brake parts were really 9000, corvette brakes are supposed to be the best around the world. These parts are so good that they are what Jay Leno used for his car powered by a marine...

Will there be a general public version of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray/Centennial Concept used in transformers 2? and if so any idea on price range?

No it won't. The C7 Corvette will arrive in the late 2012 as a 2013 model, it may or may not have lines from the Centennial Concept, but it will integrate some high tech materials witch will make it lighter and will be about 10-15% more expensive then the C6 to avoid a fight with the high end...

Steering wheel 'paddles' on 2009 corvette?
i was looking at 3LT corvette today and it had automatic shifting but with paddles. are these paddels a good feature or cheap version of a manual car? Thanks

The paddles just give you the option of manual gear selection, as well as a fully automatic mode.
