Diana if your still having problems after a fuel pump and filter replacement there is a good chance the original diagnostic missed the problem with your car.Some shops like to throw parts on cars and hope the problem goes away.You should call the shop that done your work and ask for a loaner car...

I have a 2004 chevy cavalier and on my shifting console the lights are out so I can't see what gear I'm in?
How do I go about fixing this problem? Alright seriously I know all you males think you know everything, I just asked a simple question and I just want to fix my car. I don't need smart ass remarks. And no, its not a five speed its an automatic.

Sometimes the owners manual will give instructions on how to replace a bulb. If not try a Haynes or Chiltons manual that you can get at most auto parts stores. Alot of times if its something simple like that, take it to AutoZone or Murrys and they will actually help you out and do it for you.

Go to your local parts store and pick up a haynes manual for your Cavalier. To much to try and explain on here. Haynes manual will give you a good explanation on how to do your repair. Reference:25 Years as GM Tech Retired and enjoying it
