I have a 2001 cavalier thats overheating. ?
I have changed the thermastat on i but yet its still overheating. I was told it could be the fan switch because of the fan wasnt running until i would turn on the ac. I have never changed one so does anyone know how to do it

My car overheated a lot when I first bought it. I changed the oil and coolant, and it never overheated since. Maybe you should try that.

Get your own hardware it will be cheaper. Go to autozone get a set of duralast pads, and duralast brake rotors. ok so i put freon in my car then after 30 mins it leaks out is there something i could put in there to stop the leak

if it leaks out after 30 mins you have too big leak for that stop leak stuff to work, plus it's mess. Put leak dye in the system and find the leak. My guess would be the condensor or compressor. Had timinig chain replaced on 2001 cavalier so why is my car overheating?
pick car up 2 days later and it started overheating. I put water in the coolet system and turned on the heater and it blew heat and then started blowing cool air. Is my therostat missed up?

Bad thermostat, system is air bound, or when they removed the lower radiator hose they left the spring out and now it is collapsing. Have you checked the electric fan? If they routed the wires wrong they may have become damaged and shorted out so now the fan doesn't work. Take it back and have them...
