I have a 1999 cavalier. The engine turns over but doesn't start. What could that be if anyone knows.?
it worked all this time and now out of the blue it stops working. i tried cranking it but as soon as it starts it just dies out and won't stay cranked. i checked the fuel filters but it was okay and the fuel pump is working. i did notice that up under the hood where the gas is pose to kinda spit out if you hit it there wasn't any gas at all coming...

if you said the fuel filter is fine, yet you don't have any fuel at the fuel rail, then either filter is clogged or pump isn't working, or your line is clogged somewhere (doubtful). Do you have spark?

Is there a Fuel pump reset on a 1999 Chevy cavalier?
My cavalier has no power now after putting it in the ditch. i've heard that there is a sensor that is g-force sensitive that shuts off the fuel pump when your in an accident. does anyone know where it is?

What you're referring to is an inertia switch, and to answer your question, No GM never used an inertia switch or any similar device on ANY of their vehicles. If It were my car, I would take a look at the PCM, it is mounted underneath the passenger side headlamp assembly behind the RF inner fender...

1999 chevy cavalier Lights come off when I put engage parking brake or E Brake, and lights are dim?
My 99 Chevy cavalier headlights go out when I put the car in Park, or when I engage the E-brake. The lights come on in drive neutral and reverse. Check the switch on the ebrake. Sounds like it might be sticking, or going bad.
