I was given a quote of $120.00 to install a freeze plug engine heater on a 2005 chevy blazer is this cost high?
I live in Idaho and this quote was from a garage not a dealership. I know the heater itself only costs about $22.00. I would think it should only take about an hour to change. Its a katz freeze plug heater.

that's a good deal on it considering what all they have to do to install it,their getting that much around Tennessee,your doing good on price,make sure the heater comes with some kind of a warranty on it,those things do burn out once in a while,most come with a one year warranty on them,good...

It seems to be a winy sound. It had it a little when we bought it and seems to be a little louder. No one seems to know what is causing it. any ideas? TY Was already flushed .

have you taken it to a trans shop to have them look at it possible problems with trans noise could be 1)bearing going bad 2)planet going bad 3)front pump going bad 4)torque converter and could also be something else but trans shop will take it for a ride and even pull the pan down and if they see...

I have a 2005 chevy trail blazer. the oil pressure fluctuates..WHY?
the truck runs GREAT. but, the oil pressure sits at 40 while at a stop but when i put on the gas to take off it moves up a couple of lines. i just purchased the vehicle yesterday and i am just curious and maybe a bit concerned. thanks for any help.

The oil pump runs off of the crankshaft and when RPM's increase so does the speed of the oil pump giving a higher pressure
